As the years went by, I knew I wanted to do something with my career that would have an impact on people&#8217;s lives every day. One of the reasons why I decided to be a nurse was because of that. To me, nursing is not only a job, but it&#8217;s a career that involves caring, responsibility, learning, and purpose.<\/p>\n<p>As a nurse, I feel I&#8217;m one of the most crucial people in healthcare. They comfort patients at challenging times, offer emotional support and aid in the recovery of both body and mind. Every time I look at my future, I don&#8217;t think of anything more meaningful than nursing.<\/p>\n<p>In my own blog, I want to share my own ideas, feelings, reasons and experiences regarding why I think nursing is the perfect career choice for me.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"My_First_Inspiration_to_Become_a_Nurse\"><\/span>My First Inspiration to Become a Nurse<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The interest began when I visited one of my relatives in the hospital and noticed the care provided to him by the nurses. I observed that doctors would come and see patients periodically, whilst nurses would stay near patients for the majority of the time. They reviewed patient medications, provided emotional support, answered questions and made patients feel safe.<\/p>\n<p>The most impressive thing to me was their kindness and patience. They were always calm and supportive in stressful situations. It made me realise the importance of nurses in the health care system, as I watched them work.<\/p>\n<p>It was that experience that led me on to my career path, which changed my life for years and gradually changed my career vision.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Become_a_Nurse\"><\/span>Why Become a Nurse<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Image<\/p>\n<p>I started my job as a nurse for numerous reasons. Some are emotional, others are about personal development and career opportunities.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"I_Want_to_Help_People\"><\/span>I Want to Help People<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>My motivation for choosing nursing is to make a difference in the lives of others. I feel good when I&#8217;m able to help someone through tough times. Nurses soothe frightened, sick and emotionally distressed patients. I want to be the kind of person that patients will trust and be able to count on.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Desire_to_Be_Useful_in_A_Career\"><\/span>A Desire to Be Useful in A Career<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>I never wanted a job in which I felt disconnected from people. Through nursing, I can develop human relationships and do meaningful work.<\/p>\n<p>As a nurse, every day brings new experiences, challenges and opportunities to improve somebody&#8217;s life.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nursing_Offers_Stability\"><\/span>Nursing Offers Stability<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Another thing I love about nursing is that it&#8217;s a job that&#8217;s not going anywhere. There&#8217;s always a need for healthcare professionals, and nurses have a vital part in any healthcare system.<\/p>\n<p>I know that I will have a stable and respected career, assisting people to help make nursing more appealing.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Love_To_Learn_New_Things\"><\/span>Love To Learn New Things<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Nursing is a field in which learning is continuous. Nurse practitioners are continually evolving, and so are medical practices. Whenever someone says, \u201c<strong>Why did I want to become a nurse?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I understand nursing is not easy. It takes a lot of effort, emotional strength, patience and commitment. I think the benefits are worth it, though.<\/p>\n<p>To me, success is not just about profits. It&#8217;s knowing that my work matters and that, at a time that was incredibly difficult for them, I made them feel better.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Do_You_Want_to_Become_a_Nurse\"><\/span>Why Do You Want to Become a Nurse<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In an interview, one of the most frequently asked questions by nursing students is, \u201c<strong>Why do you want to become a nurse?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Had I been asked this question, I would respond that nursing is a blend of all that&#8217;s good about a career:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compassion<\/li>\n<li>Service<\/li>\n<li>Human connection<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving<\/li>\n<li>Continuous learning<\/li>\n<li>Emotional fulfillment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I want a career where I can support people physically, emotionally and be challenged in the process.<\/p>\n<p>And nursing is the career that allows me to achieve all of it.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Emotional_Side_of_Nursing\"><\/span>The Emotional Side of Nursing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I find one thing that I admire a lot about nurses is that they&#8217;re strong in their emotions. A nurse&#8217;s job frequently involves helping their patients on a difficult, stressful, or life-changing day.<\/p>\n<p>I realise that nursing can be a difficult and emotional field of work, but I also believe that it teaches empathy and resiliency.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases, a patient may just need someone to listen to him\/her. The nurses do those acts of kindness every day in addition to the professional medical care they give.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Nursing_Is_More_Than_Just_a_Job\"><\/span>Why Nursing Is More Than Just a Job<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>For me, nursing is not just about working in a hospital or clinic. It is the message of responsibility, trust and compassion.<\/p>\n<p>Nurses are at the patient&#8217;s most vulnerable moments. Nurses are expected to comfort patients who are apprehensive or anxious.<\/p>\n<p>Such trust and connection elevate nursing to one of the most respected professions in the world.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Different_Nursing_Career_Paths_That_Inspire_Me\"><\/span>Different Nursing Career Paths That Inspire Me<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I get to work in a number of different roles as a nurse.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mental_Health_Nursing\"><\/span>Mental Health Nursing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mental health is currently emerging as a significant health care issue globally. This field is very motivating for me as it involves helping patients with emotional and psychological problems in the field of mental health.<\/p>\n<p>Students today want to know <strong>how to become a mental health nurse<\/strong>, as this speciality enables nurses to assist individuals who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues.<\/p>\n<p>I have a great deal of respect for mental health nurses for their ability to combine medical care with emotional understanding. Not only this field is important for their patients. But <a href=\"https:\/\/nursingassignmentwriters.co.uk\/blog\/importance-of-psychology-in-nursing\/\">mental health is essential for nurses<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Veterinary_Nursing\"><\/span>Veterinary Nursing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Veterinary nursing is also an awesome career path for lovers of animals as far as I&#8217;m concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Some students will be researching the route into <strong>how to become a veterinary nurse<\/strong>, as they wish to look after an injured or sick animal. Veterinary nurses help veterinarians, keep an eye on animals&#8217; condition, and advise pet owners in difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>While my preferred field of work is human health care, I am said to be very in awe of the veterinary nurses who care for animals.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dental_Nursing\"><\/span>Dental Nursing<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>One other fascinating health care occupation is dental nursing.<\/p>\n<p>There are many reasons why people ask <strong>why become a dental nurse<\/strong>, and I think it is because dental nurses play a significant part in making the patient comfortable and taking care of their oral health.
